Shroomtober keeps growing. After the Amanita Shroomfolk, who showed what the Shroomfolk are, and the Chanterelle Forager, the first one with a job, the colony now has someone to carry things and someone to remember things. More or less.

Shroomtober Begins: 13 Mushroom Paper Miniatures Before Halloween
Last October I did Goblintober, my own take on Inktober: a new goblin paper miniature every day, until I ended up with a 31-goblin warband. This summer came Gnomesummer, five pacifist gnomes and two very angry geese defending their woods with walking staffs and kitchen tools.
So I started Shroomtober four days into October – late, obviously – and this post is arriving a week after that, with the first two minis already finished.
Gnomesummer: The Complete Gnome Warband
Back in July I set out to make a small warband of paper miniatures for Paper Miniature Jam 4. The jam has closed, and Gnomesummer is done: five gnomes and two geese, and you can download the whole set now.
If you missed the start, the introduction post has the full story. The short version: these are not the goggles-and-wrenches gnomes. They're the gnomes of David the Gnome – red shirts, pointed hats, spectacles, four hundred years old, healers of wounded animals and pacifists to the core. Then their forest, hidden on nobody's map for centuries, was finally found. Orcs came for the timber. Goblins came because goblins always come. Elves came to "protect" the woods. And the wolves found new masters.
Gnomesummer: A Gnome Warband for Paper Miniature Jam 4
Last October, Goblintober filled my table with 31 snarling green faces. This summer, Korrigan Press is going in a very different direction: Gnomesummer.
The occasion is Paper Miniature Jam 4, hosted by Hairic Lilred and running until August 9th. The brief is refreshingly open: make one or more paper miniatures, any character you like, anywhere from fantasy to sci-fi and from RPG to wargame, with any level of experience welcome.
Goblintober: the second half of the month
Goblintober is complete! The final 16 days brought us specialists, leaders, and chaos-bringers to round out our goblin warband. Here's the second half of the challenge:
Day 16: The Skirmisher
Armed with a throwing axe and nerves of… well, something close to steel, this goblin dances on the edge of danger. Get too close, and you’ll find out just how accurate those throws really are.
